A member of the Ansarallah movement said on 9 October that Yemen

any deal that “preserves the principles of the Palestinian cause,” after
the announcement of a ceasefire agreement that is set to take effect in
the coming hours.
Member of the Ansarallah political bureau Mohammad al-Farah also
expressed support for efforts of “alleviating the suffering of the
Palestinian people, halting the aggression, breaking the siege, and
ensuring the release of Palestinian prisoners.”
Farah also expressed “appreciation for the jihad of the resistance
factions and their leadership for their sincere and responsible efforts,
stemming from their commitment to the interests of the Palestinian
people, their unity, and their steadfastness in the face of aggression.”
“The Israeli occupation is the aggressor and bears full responsibility
for the crimes and violations against the Palestinian people,” he added.
“Any agreement must lead to a comprehensive cessation of aggression, the
lifting of the siege, and the fulfillment of the Palestinian people's
aspirations for freedom, independence, and the establishment of their
state on all of occupied Palestine, with Jerusalem as its capital.”
He also expressed hope that the deal

would “contribute to strengthening Palestinian unity, bolstering the
steadfastness of the resistance, and opening political and humanitarian
horizons that preserve the dignity of the Palestinian people and serve
their just cause.”
The Ansarallah movement is merged with the Yemeni Armed Forces (YAF),
which was among the first to open a front against Israel at the start of
the genocide following Operation Al-Aqsa Flood in October 2023.
Since then, the YAF and Ansarallah have carried out scores of successful
missile and drone strikes against Israeli targets, and opened up a naval
front which has decimated global shipping and Israeli maritime interests
over the past two years.
As the result of this front, the southern Israeli port of Eilat was
forced shut. Yemen had vowed repeatedly since the start of the war two
years ago that its operations would not stop until the genocide ended
and the siege was lifted.
Late last month, a Yemeni drone attack

injured 20 Israelis in Eilat. The Yemeni front is the last of the Gaza
support fronts that were opened in support of the Palestinian resistance.
These included Lebanon’s Hezbollah

– the first group to open a front against Israel after 7 October – as
well as a coalition of Iraqi resistance factions.
