Palestinian Resistance factions and the head of the Palestinian Authority
hailed the Gaza ceasefire agreement, after Hamas and "Israel" agreed to the
first stage of a deal mediated by the United States, Egypt, Qatar, and
Turkey, on Thursday.
Hamas: Until freedom and independence

The Islamic Resistance Movement, Hamas, announced that a comprehensive
agreement has been reached to end the Israeli war on Gaza, ensure the full
withdrawal of occupation forces, allow the entry of humanitarian aid, and
initiate a prisoner exchange deal.

The movement urged US President Donald Trump, the guarantor states, and
international mediators to compel "Israel" to fully implement its
obligations

under the agreement.

Hamas hailed the steadfastness of the Palestinian people across Gaza,
al-Quds, the West Bank, and the diaspora, saying their “heroic sacrifices”
thwarted Israeli plans of displacement and submission.

It vowed to remain committed to the struggle for national rights “until
freedom, independence, and self-determination are achieved.”
Mediators to guarantee enemy's compliance

Meanwhile, Hamas' representative in Lebanon, Ahmad Abdul Hadi, told *Al
Mayadeen* that the agreement took into account core Palestinian principles,
including an end to the war.

"The agreement is the result of the steadfastness of the Palestinian
people, the martyrs, and the wounded," he said, adding, "Therefore, it is a
national achievement."

Abdul Hadi said the Resistance does not trust the Israeli side, but the
guarantees made by mediators allow the Resistance to believe that the
"enemy will comply."

"If Israel does not abide by the agreement, the ball will be in the
mediators' court," he added.

He also revealed that negotiators agreed to allow hundreds of aid trucks
into the Gaza Strip on a daily basis.

Islamic Jihad: Agreement was not gifted but earned

The Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) movement said the agreement and
prisoner exchange “were not a gift from anyone,” though it acknowledged
Arab and international mediation efforts.

The group praised the “enormous sacrifices” made by the Palestinian people
and the “unprecedented courage” of Resistance fighters on the battlefield.
PFLP: Our steadfastness imposed the agreement

The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) described the
ceasefire as “a first step toward ending the genocide against our people,”
asserting that the steadfastness and heroism of Palestinians “broke the
Zionist war machine and imposed the agreement

on the occupation.”

The PFLP said efforts are underway with other national factions under
Egyptian sponsorship to establish a unified Palestinian strategy for the
next phase. It reaffirmed rejection of any foreign guardianship over Gaza’s
administration, insisting that governance must remain “purely Palestinian",
with Arab and international participation limited to reconstruction efforts.
DFLP: Unified stance needed for next phase

The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) welcomed the
ceasefire while warning of Israeli “malicious intentions” to evade
commitments.

The DFLP urged national unity ahead of the “second phase” of Trump’s plan,
warning against attempts to separate the Gaza Strip from the West Bank, and
called for an immediate national dialogue to form a unified Palestinian
negotiation delegation.
Abu Mujahid: The people of Gaza offered the dearest sacrifices

Abu Mujahid, spokesperson for the Popular Resistance Committees, told *Al
Mayadeen* that the people of Gaza “offered their dearest sacrifices during
the Al Aqsa Flood,” praising those who stood in solidarity with Palestine,
particularly “the martyrs Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah

and Sayyed Safieddine, and the people of Yemen and Iran.”

Abbas: Sovereignty over Gaza, WB belongs to the State of Palestine

Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas also welcomed the Gaza
ceasefire agreement between the Palestinian Resistance and the Israeli
occupation.

In a statement, Abbas described it as a step toward ending the Israeli war
on Gaza, facilitating the entry of humanitarian aid, enabling a prisoner
exchange, and overseeing the partial withdrawal of Israeli occupation
forces.

He also viewed it as a "prelude to achieving a sustainable political
solution that would end the Israeli occupation and lead to the
establishment of a Palestinian state along the June 4, 1967 borders."

Abbas also "reiterated that sovereignty over the Gaza Strip belongs to the
State of Palestine and that the connection between the West Bank and Gaza
must be achieved through Palestinian laws and government institutions."
