The Hamas Movement stated on Wednesday evening that the massacre committed
by Israeli occupation forces and settlers in the town of Kafr Malik, east
of Ramallah—which resulted in the killing of three young men and injuries
to others—requires a serious and unified response from the Palestinian
people, both at the grassroots and official levels, to confront the
escalating crimes of the occupation and its settlers.

In a statement, the Movement mourned the martyrs who fell in Kafr Malik and
praised the local residents for their resistance against the brutal attack
launched by settlers and occupation soldiers, which included the burning of
homes and vehicles and the terrorizing of residents.

Hamas emphasized that “this crime reflects the entrenched nature of the
Israeli occupation, which is built on targeting the Palestinian people and
attempting to uproot them from their land.”

The Movement stressed that the response to such crimes must be through
“comprehensive resistance and the formation of popular and official
protection committees to defend Palestinian villages and towns.”

Hamas also called on the Palestinian Authority and its security forces to
assume their responsibilities in protecting the Palestinian people, urging
the immediate release of all political detainees and resistance fighters
held in PA prisons.

“Our people will not stand idly by in the face of this ongoing series of
crimes, killings, and forced displacement,” the statement warned.

It reiterated that all forms of resistance are the “natural and legitimate
response to the terror of the occupation.”

The statement concluded by affirming that “the blood of the martyrs in Kafr
Malik, as in all of Palestine, will not be in vain. It will continue to
fuel the path of liberation until freedom is achieved, the occupation is
defeated, and a Palestinian state is established with Jerusalem as its
capital.”

Earlier today, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that three
Palestinians were killed and seven others wounded—one of them
critically—following an armed settler attack on the town of Kafr Malik,
east of Ramallah and Al-Bireh in the occupied West Bank.

The ministry noted that medical teams treated the injured, who were
transported to hospitals, and confirmed the death of three citizens due to
direct gunfire.

Groups of settlers, under the protection of Israeli forces, stormed the
town and attacked Palestinian homes, sparking confrontations that led to
casualties.

The Palestinian Red Crescent reported that its teams dealt with five live
bullet injuries in Kafr Malik, two of whom were critically wounded before
being pronounced dead.

Around 100 settlers attacked the town, setting several homes on fire and
assaulting residents. Locals resisted the attack, resulting in injuries and
further destruction of homes and vehicles.
