Israeli officials: Iran Emerged from War Stronger, Its Regime Will Survive
June 24, 2025
------------------------------

Former Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman asserted that “the
outcome of the war on Iran is discordant and bitter for Israel.” Lieberman
said, “Instead of imposing unconditional surrender on Iran, the world is
entering into difficult and arduous negotiations.”

“Iran controlled the timing of the ceasefire.”

For his part, Israeli reserve Major General Yom Tov Samia acknowledged that
Iran controlled and determined the timing of the ceasefire with ‘Israel’.

Samia cast doubt on the destruction of the Iranian nuclear program, saying,
“There is no certainty that the Iranian nuclear program has actually been
destroyed.”

He criticized the ceasefire with Iran, saying, “We bought a few years of
quiet at a high price, and it will be a scar for generations.”

Likewise, Likud Knesset Member Amit Halevy acknowledged that the Iranian
regime is here to stay and still possesses missiles and the ability to fire
at ‘Israel’.

Maariv newspaper acknowledged that “Iran emerged from the war stronger.”

“We are raising the white flag” against Iran

In the same context, an Israeli media outlet acknowledged that “the moment
an enemy that hates Israel delivers the final blow is not only a strategic
failure… but rather as if ‘the people of eternity are raising the white
flag.'”

It noted that “nuclear weapons are dangerous, but the consciousness of
victory in the hearts of enemies… is far more dangerous.”

It added: “On October 7, we saw with our own eyes that there is no need for
a nuclear bomb to push Israel to the brink of the abyss.”

It continued: “A ceasefire like this does not stop the war… but invites the
next confrontation from Judea and Samaria (the West Bank), from the Arabs
of Israel (the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948), from Sinai, and
perhaps from places we do not expect…”

“We are raising the white flag” against Iran

“It’s time to end the war in Gaza.”

Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid commented on the ceasefire, saying,
“Now, it’s time to end the war in Gaza and return the prisoners.”

The Gaza Prisoners’ Families Forum demanded that the ceasefire agreement be
expanded to include Gaza and called on the government to enter into urgent
talks leading to the return of all prisoners and an end to the war.
