TEHRAN, (PIC)
Scenes of destruction continue to unfold across several Israeli cities
following waves of Iranian missile strikes that targeted key sites and
vital areas. This comes as part of Operation True Promise 3, launched in
retaliation for Israel’s aggression against Iran.
Despite Israel’s censorship on revealing the exact locations where missiles
struck, images emerging from Tel Aviv and its surroundings, the Negev, and
central Israel reveal destroyed residential buildings, burned vehicles, and
collapsed infrastructure—eerily mirroring the daily realities endured by
Palestinians throughout 20 months of a relentless genocidal war waged by
Israel on the Gaza Strip.
*No safe place, no shield*For the first time in years, Israel is facing a
reality similar to the one it inflicted on Gaza: there is no safe place,
and no shield can protect. Constant sirens, overcrowded shelters, and
street-level panic have now become daily life for Israelis—a jarring
reflection of what Palestinian civilians have long endured under siege,
starvation, and ceaseless bombardment.
The Iranian strikes, in response to what Tehran called Israeli “thuggery,”
dealt another blow to the image of Israel’s so-called “security
apparatus”—long touted for its ability to protect and deter. But the recent
images from inside Israel demonstrate that terrorism and military-political
bullying cannot persist without devastating consequences, according to
experts and observers.
The Israeli military announced on Saturday morning that another barrage of
Iranian missiles had been launched toward Israel. The Israeli Home Front
Command confirmed a sixth wave of missiles targeted large areas across the
country. Meanwhile, Israeli media reported a “very serious incident” in Tel
Aviv following a missile strike on a strategic site, without disclosing
further details.
According to the latest reports, Iranian strikes have killed three Israelis
in Ramat Gan and Rishon LeZion early Saturday, with the injured rising to
90, amid reports of unprecedented destruction in the greater Tel Aviv area,
based on initial official Israeli admissions.
Yedioth Ahronoth reported that Iran launched three missile barrages within
15 minutes in the early morning hours. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard
confirmed it used smart, high-precision missile systems in Operation True
Promise 3, which was launched in response to Israel’s wide-ranging strikes
early Friday.
Reuters quoted a senior Iranian official as saying there would be no safe
place in Israel, warning that Tehran’s response would be painful.
The Israeli military said that dozens of missiles were launched from Iran,
with some being intercepted. Rescue and emergency teams were reportedly
active across various locations in Israel where missiles had struck. The
authorities once again urged civilians not to publish or share locations of
the attacks.
*Power breeds fragility*Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who
appeared elated on Friday night while declaring the beginning of war on
Iran, embodies an Israeli entity that built its project on military
supremacy and settlement expansion, backed by the US and Europe to impose
realities and intimidate populations. While he attempted to prepare
Israelis for some form of Iranian retaliation, the images of collapsed
towers, shattered windows, and streets turned into battlegrounds now
confront Israelis with a harsh truth: destruction for destruction, terror
for terror—a fate born from occupation and aggression.
Ironically, what Israel once described as “precision strikes” in Gaza,
Tehran, Lebanon, and Syria, has now appeared in the heart of Israeli cities
in the form of missile waves crashing down onto shelters and command
centers, delivering a wide public shock, according to analysts.
The Tel Aviv Police Chief confirmed the Iranian attack was a major incident
involving multiple sites, noting that rescue forces were trying to reach
people trapped inside sealed shelters. He added that the region was hit by
various types of missiles, causing some buildings to collapse entirely, and
others to lose entire floors.
Israel’s Channel 13 reported “unprecedented destruction” in greater Tel
Aviv, with dozens of buildings and vehicles directly hit by Iranian
missiles or missile fragments.
Haaretz reported that a 32-story building in Tel Aviv was damaged, and
Channel 12 said that 300 Israelis were evacuated after their homes were hit
in the greater Tel Aviv area.
*Gaza’s cries echo in the sky*As Iranian missiles streaked across the skies
of Palestine, including over the Gaza Strip, chants of “Allahu Akbar” rose
from the throats of the devastated and slaughtered—those who had for 20
months prayed desperately for divine retribution against an occupation that
never ceased targeting them.
Today’s scenes of destruction in Israel cannot be detached from the
massacres, displacements, starvation, and total demolition inflicted on
Gaza. These are not just “strategic responses,” but rather inevitable
consequences of occupation and aggression, as experts argue.
The events underscore that Israel is no longer immune to the fallout of its
policies. The era of “absolute security” is over. The terrorism it has
practiced in Gaza, across Palestine, and in other Arab and Muslim lands,
will not go without painful costs.
