 Hamas urges int’l action to save Gaza from bombing, starvation, and thirst

Hamas has called for tomorrow, Sunday, and the coming days to be a massive
outcry against Israel and the systematic starvation in the Gaza Strip, in
an effort to save the Palestinian people from death by bombing, hunger, and
thirst.

In a statement on Saturday, Hamas renewed its call to the masses of the
Arab and Islamic nations, and to all free people around the world, for a
global movement in the form of massive public demonstrations and solidarity
events.

The Movement emphasized the need to raise voices loudly and apply all forms
of political, diplomatic, parliamentary, labor, and student pressure in
solidarity with Gaza, in support of its steadfastness, and against the
genocide and starvation campaign, until the brutal aggression ends and the
unjust blockade is lifted.

It said, “Let tomorrow, Sunday, July 20, and the coming days be global days
of solidarity and international mobilization, in which all powers and free
people around the world participate, to expose and condemn the Zionist
crimes of genocide and starvation against innocent civilians in Gaza,
including children, women, and the sick.”

Hamas called for united efforts on the Arab, Islamic, and international
levels to be one voice in solidarity with Gaza and against the genocide and
starvation affecting more than two million Palestinians. It urged
participation in efforts to stop the aggression and collective starvation
and to put an end to “Netanyahu and his fascist gang’s disregard for
international humanitarian law and international conventions.”

The Government Media Office (GMO) also issued an urgent international
appeal, demanding immediate action to open humanitarian corridors into Gaza
and to end the deliberate politicization of aid, as well as to lift the
blockade and halt the catastrophe of collective starvation.

In its statement on Saturday, the GMO declared, “This is an urgent
international appeal, directed to the international community, to all
countries of the world without exception, to all UN, international, legal,
and human rights organizations, and to all political entities, in light of
the escalating humanitarian disaster in Gaza for 651 days of genocide and
starvation.”

It demanded the establishment of safe and permanent humanitarian corridors
under direct and effective international supervision to ensure the delivery
of food and medicine to all areas without Israeli interference.

The GMO stressed the need to depoliticize humanitarian aid and stop any
manipulation or control of it by Israel or any complicit parties.

It also called for the immediate lifting of the blockade on Gaza,
describing it as a collective crime against the civilian population, and
stressed the need for urgent international pressure to compel Israel to
halt the genocide, starvation policies, and forced displacement.

Finally, the GMO demanded an urgent international investigation into the
crime of starvation and for those responsible to be brought to justice.
