The Hamas Movement has called on the mediators of the ceasefire agreement
in the Gaza Strip to assume their responsibilities regarding the repeated
Israeli violations. It emphasized that the “treacherous” bombing carried
out by an Israeli drone east of Rafah city constitutes a “serious
violation” of the ceasefire agreement.

Three police officers were martyred on Sunday morning as a result of an
Israeli bombardment targeting them while they were deployed to secure aid
in the al-Shawka area east of Rafah, in the southern Gaza Strip.

Hamas said in a press release, “This crime adds to the occupation’s
disregard of and its failure to adhere to the terms of the agreement. Most
recently, the occupation’s statements today about not allowing the entry of
caravans and heavy machinery, constitutes another violation of what it had
pledged to mediators at the end of last week.”

It added, “The occupation’s procrastination in starting negotiations for
the second phase further confirms its lack of seriousness in adhering to
the agreement that was sponsored by the mediators and witnessed by the
world. It also reveals the war criminal Netanyahu’s intentions to obstruct
the agreement and the prisoner exchange, and his desire to return to
aggression and commit further acts of extermination.”

Hamas condemned the brutal Israeli occupation’s crime and all violations in
implementing the agreement and humanitarian protocol, holding it fully
responsible for the consequences.

It called on the mediators to assume their responsibilities in obliging
“the Zionist enemy” to fulfill all its commitments, and to intervene to
stop its repeated violations of the ceasefire agreement, and to compel it
to implement the humanitarian protocol in all its clauses, and to
immediately start negotiations for the second phase.

Since the ceasefire began in the Gaza Strip on January 19, 2025, more than
270 violations have been committed by the Israeli occupation forces through
bombardments and shootings, resulting in over 100 martyrs and hundreds of
injuries.
