 Hamas: Israel’s withdrawal from Netzarim “victory for our people’s will”

The Hamas Movement has described the Israeli occupation army’s withdrawal
from the Netzarim corridor as a “victory for the Palestinian people’s will”
and “the culmination of the resistance’s steadfastness and heroism.”

In a statement on Sunday, Hamas said that the Israeli occupation’s
departure from the corridor confirmed that the goals of its aggression
against Gaza had failed.

“Our Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, with their steadfastness on
their land and the sacrifices and heroism of their sons from the resistance
spearheaded by al-Qassam Brigades, have torpedoed the illusions of the
occupation and its fascist leadership about controlling Gaza militarily and
dividing it,” Hamas added.

The Movement voiced its determination to uphold the Palestinian people’s
right to live freely on their land and frustrate any plan to displace them,
vowing to continue its struggle until its people realize their aspirations
for self-determination and the establishment of their independent state
with Jerusalem as its capital.

The Israeli army withdrew on Sunday from the Netzarim corridor, which was
dividing the Gaza Strip, leaving nearly all of the coastal territory’s
north as stipulated by the ceasefire agreement with Hamas.
