'Israel' continues to insolently violate Lebanon ceasefire

In the latest breach, invading Israeli units are setting fire to homes on
the outskirts of Aitaroun in the Bint Jbeil district, as well as in Rub
Thalathin near the occupied Palestinian border.

Israeli occupation forces continue to breach Resolution 1701 and the
ceasefire agreement with Lebanon, particularly in the frontline villages
along the border with occupied Palestine, despite the expiration of the
60-day withdrawal deadline

outlined in the agreement.

*Al Mayadeen*’s correspondent in southern Lebanon reported on Saturday that
invading Israeli units are setting fire to homes on the outskirts of
Aitaroun in the Bint Jbeil district, as well as in Rub Thalathin near the
occupied Palestinian border.

Our correspondent also stated that an Israeli Quadcopter dropped a bomb on
a bulldozer working to retrieve the bodies of martyrs in Central Taybeh, in
the Marjayoun district.

In response, the Aitaroun municipality issued a statement urging residents
not to return until the Lebanese Army secures the area. The statement
emphasized the danger of returning, citing the continued presence of
Israeli occupation forces and the risk posed to civilians.

Concurrently, Israeli forces began withdrawing some of their vehicles from
central Aitaroun towards the eastern outskirts.

In a related development, the Lebanese Army Command’s Directorate of
Guidance announced that a unit will carry out an operation to detonate
unexploded ordnance in the Al-Sam'iyya area of Tyre on Saturday between
12:45 PM and 5:00 PM.

condemned on Friday "Israel’s" latest aggression deep inside Lebanese
territory, calling it a "highly dangerous violation" and a "blatant act of
aggression" that undermines UN Security Council Resolution 1701.

specifically in the town of Jinta—demonstrates "Israel’s" disregard for
international agreements.

He accused international guarantors of either indifference or failure to
act, stressing that "Israel" has abandoned its commitments and continues
its violations with impunity.

"This systematic escalation by the enemy, without a serious response from
international bodies, reflects either their inability to act or their tacit
approval," al-Moussawi added.

He urged the Lebanese government, military, and presidency to take
immediate action, using all available means "to put a quick end to the
Zionist criminality."

He further criticized the international community’s failure to impose
punitive measures or hold "Israel" accountable, warning that such inaction
encourages further violations.

"This amounts to implicit acceptance and collusion in Israel’s policies of
destruction and aggression," he said, calling the situation "completely
unacceptable" and a fundamental breach of national sovereignty and the
protection of civilians.
