During a press conference held this Friday, August 2, Amoroso highlighted

and the voting transmission and reception centers during this week’s
violent events. Despite this, the final results were transmitted.
Amoroso confirmed the victory of the candidate of the Great Patriotic Pole,
Nicolás Maduro, with 6,408,844 votes, representing 51.95% of the vote.
The opposition candidate of the Unity Platform (PUD), Edmundo González,
only obtained 5,326,104 votes, representing 43.18% of the vote.
In this bulletin, the CNE provided detailed information about the votes
obtained by the rest of the candidates:

• Antonio Ecarri for the Lápiz party: 116,421 (0.94%)
• Benjamin Rausseo for the Conde party: 92,903 (0.75%)
• José Brito for the Primero Venezuela party: 84,231: (0.68%)

• Enrique Márquez for the Centrados party: 29,611 (0.24%)
• Daniel Ceballos for the Arepa party: 20,056 (0.16%).
Amoroso said that the results of this second bulletin represent 96.87% of
the votes counted. The president of the CNE explained that the
participation in the presidential election of July 28 was 59.97%, with a
total of 12,386,669 votes.
Of the total votes, 12,335,884 were valid, representing 99.59%. Overall,
50,785 were invalid, representing 0.41% of the votes.
In his speech, Elvis Amoroso also spoke about the cyberattacks against CNE,
stating that it delayed the transmission and issuance of the final results.
Finally, Amoroso congratulated the people of Venezuela for the profound
demonstration of democratic vocation shown during the elections, the troops
deployed through the Plan República to guarantee the security of the
elections and the international observers.
In the first bulletin issued early Monday morning, the CNE reported that
Nicolás Maduro had won with 51% of the votes. Meanwhile, Edmundo González
