The Hamas Movement has held the Israeli occupation state fully responsible
for any consequences resulting from Saturday’s attacks on the Gaza Strip
and its deliberate targeting of homes and civilian buildings.

“[Today’s] large-scale destruction caused by the Israeli aggression against
Gaza, which targeted a factory, carpentry workshop, plastic recycling
facility, Mosque, hospital, school, sports ground and nearby civilian
homes, confirms a preplanned escalation aimed at destroying infrastructure,
targeting our citizens’ livelihoods and tightening the noose around their
necks in the midst of suffocating siege on Gaza and spreading coronavirus,”
Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum said in a press release on Saturday.

“The accelerating steps taken by some countries in the region to normalize
ties and blend in with the Zionist enemy and the Palestinian Authority’s
decision to resume its relations and security coordination with it, in
addition to the international silence and the US support for the
occupation, have encouraged it to persist in its blockade and aggression
and even constituted an official cover-up for its crimes and violations,”
spokesman Barhoum underlined.

“The Palestinian resistance, which was found to defend our people and
extract their rights, cannot condone the continuation of the siege and
aggression, and will not abandon its national and moral duty to protect our
people’s interests,” the spokesman added.
