Join the Haiti Action Committee for two events during Black August to
honor our brother Lovinsky.
Tuesday, 12 August, 12 noon

The weekly Iraq Vigil will make the connections to Haiti,
with special focus on Lovinsky.
Members of HAC invite you to participate in a fast on this day,
for however many hours you are able.

Hear the words of Lovinsky, see the grassroots movement in Haiti,
with cultural presentation to be announced.
Haitian human rights activist Lovinsky Pierre-Antoine was disappeared
and presumed kidnapped on August 12, 2007 after meeting with a US
human rights delegation. He is a member of Fanmi Lavalas and a
founding member of Fondasyon Trant Septanm (September 30th
Foundation). Lovinsky is a psychologist who works with victims of
torture, and a fierce activist who stands with his people in the
streets. Members of the Haiti Action Committee last saw him
demonstrating, speaking and leading chants in front of the UN
military complex in Port-au-Prince, during the 92nd anniversary of
the 1915 US Marine Invasion of Haiti in July 2007.
