PROTESTERS TARGET HAITI DEMOCRACY FOES
One year after democratically-elected President Jean-Bertrand Aristide was
forced out of his country by the U.S., protesters are calling for the
restoration of constitutional government in Haiti:
Monday, Feb. 28
4:30 p.m. Rally in UN Plaza, San Francisco (under the Simon Bolivar statue
at Hyde Street)
5 p.m. March stops at sites representing attempts to destroy democracy in
Haiti, including SF Chronicle, the Chilean, Brazilian and French
consulates, and U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein's office.
BRING MUSICAL INTRUMENTS AND NOISEMAKERS!!
The protest is sponsored by the Haiti Action Committee, East Bay Sanctuary
Covenant and the ANSWER Coalition.
