WOMEN'S PEACE DAY 2004
The Impact of War and Militarization on Women in Asia

Women are often the most affected and least talked about victims of 
war.  Find out about  women and militarism in Okinawa, Korea and the 
Philippines.  Join us for an evening of discussion and culture.  Highlights 
include:  SPAM Iron Chef (a Spam  cook-off to remind us of the U.S. 
military's legacy in  Asia) and a keynote speech by author, journalist and 
human rights activist Ninotchka Rosca.


Organized by the Bay Area Women's Initiative for Peace and Justice in 
Asia:  GABRIELA Network, Korea Solidarity Committee (KSC), Nikkeis for 
Peace and Justice, Asian Pacific Islander Coalition Against War (APICAW).
