Dear CDHR Folks,
At the film premiere in San Francisco, I was told I could contact you about getting together a panel for a showing of the film down in Monterey.
The Monterey Peace & Justice Center would like to show the film at the California State University Monterey Bay as part of our New Directions Film Series. Normally, our films are shown at the local Monterey library but Jacob Lesner-Buxton, a student at CSUMB, is helping us get co-sponsorship from student organizations and thus access to a 500 seat venue. The room is tentatively booked for March 13th in the evening.
Our local Mel Mason has graciously agreed to speak as part of the panel. I have not talked to him directly yet, but hear he suggested Kiilu Nyasa as a good person to speak saying they have done lots of work together over the years. Is she part of your group? Please let me know who to contact about the panel. I also wanted to double check the copyright restrictions on showing the film. I was assured at the SF premiere that showing it would be fine.
Thanks so much for bringing this information to the public. We are glad to have the opportunity to help you get it out to more people.
Sincerely,
Janet Louise Wilson
